Acorn cottages are set on a small holding in the champagne valley, where peace and quiet prevail. This area is know for superb hiking we are often used as a base camp, and practice, for major hikes. But we also have wonderful walks, horse riding, bird watching, fishing, golf, all sports, adventure activities, a falconry, and art and craft shops. We are ideally situated for lovely day trips to other parts of the Berg, and we help you to plan your stay.
We have 2 cottages with 2 bedrooms each fully and well equipped, with all bedrooms en suite, a fireplace and heaters in winter and fans for summer, so your comfort is cared for. There is a TV full stove, microwave, braai area, enjoy the sunset from the verandah around the braai, with the sound of owls on the roof.
All sports are available in the immediate area, golf, fishing, tennis, bowls, horseriding, adventure sports, walks, hikes day drives, to Cathedral Peak, Injusuti, Giants Castle, Amphitheatre and near by Monks Cowl. San paintings in the area and at Cathedral Peak and Giants Castle.

Set in wooded gardens, Berghaven is centrally situated in the peaceful Cathkin Valley, 25 km from Winterton on the R600 towards Champagne Castle. It is surrounded by some of the highest and most beautiful mountain scenery in South Africa
Berghaven has eight self catering cottages that are serviced daily. They are equipped with crockery, cutlery, linen (bring own swimming towels)stove/oven, microwave and tv. Each cottage has sabc channels with a dish & decoder,( bring your dstv card with if you want dstv)
Berghaven has a swimming pool, childrens play park with swings and trampolines, an animal farm where the children can feed the animals, a forest and two dams. The bird life is abundant as is the peace & tranquility. Berg Rest can accommodate up to 120 people in a combination of dormitories, 6-8 bedded rooms and two self-contained flatlets. It borders the KZN Wildlife Reserve and its peace and serenity make it an ideal venue for school groups, church groups and other special interest groups.
Activities offered at Berg Rest include Abseiling, Climbing, Orienteering, Overnight Hikes, and more.

The Berg House is situated 3 hours from Johannesburg and Durban. These selfcatering and B&B cottages are located on the Oliviershoek Pass, overlooking the "Amphitheatre", high escarpment and "Little Drakensberg". Our property is situated on 1600 acre's with 7km's of river frontage.
The cottages are comfortable, fully equipped, with open plan lounge/kitchen areas, 2 bathrooms in each, 4 bedrooms per unit, a logfire place in each with wood provided. These cottages are built from sandstone and thatch gathered from the property. Linen is provided on the bed. The cottages are serviced daily.

The Ledges is a guest farm situated amongst the breathtaking mountains in the Northern Drakensburg with spectacular views of Cannibal Cave and Sugar Loaf and a river running just below the accommodation.
The Ledges caters for a variety of needs. The farmhouse and other self-catering cabins are fully equipped and furnished with antiques.
The farmhouse can accomodate seven to eight people and has a large veranda with a thatch lapa for braais, the other cabins can accomodate four and three people respectively.
