Located in the heart of the beautiful Champagne Valley in the foothills of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site only two and a half hours from Durban and three and a half from Johannesburg, on a tar road.
Dragon Peaks is the ideal family getaway with a variety of accommodation to suit everyone and space to let you feel private when you choose to. This Resort is a 2nd generation family business, owned and managed by Rus & Lynn Tungay, founding family of the world famous Drakensberg Boys Choir School which is within walking distance of the Resort.
From luxury thatched cottages for the discerning to caravilla caravans for the budget minded, all our accommodations are fully equipped for self catering and include microwaves.
The luxury thatched cottages have fireplaces and each bedroom has a full en suite bathroom and TV set.
Plettenbergs and Drakensbergs have two bedrooms each and the Caravillas have one bedroom. Breakfast for our B&B guests is served on the veranda of Dragon’s Rest Restaurant enjoying a stunning view of both Champagne and Cathkin Peak mountain range. Lunch and Dinners are also served in the Pub or Restaurant which offers excellent cuisine
Three large modern ablution blocks service 140 caravan/camping sites all with their own 15amp electricity, TV connections and braais.
Horse Riding is their passion but for the less adventurous there are swimming pools, waterslides, hiking trails, tennis courts, birdwatching, mountain bike trails, bass fishing, free pony rides for children, river tubing, volley ball and more. The Oaks Superette offers a wide range of supplies including petrol, diesel and ATM.
