Acorn Cottages - Self Catering

Acorn cottages are set on a small holding in the champagne valley, where peace and quiet prevail. This area is know for superb hiking we are often used as a base camp, and practice, for major hikes. But we also have wonderful walks, horse riding, bird watching, fishing, golf, all sports, adventure activities, a falconry, and art and craft shops. We are ideally situated for lovely day trips to other parts of the Berg, and we help you to plan your stay.

We have 2 cottages with 2 bedrooms each fully and well equipped, with all bedrooms en suite, a fireplace and heaters in winter and fans for summer, so your comfort is cared for. There is a TV full stove, microwave, braai area, enjoy the sunset from the verandah around the braai, with the sound of owls on the roof.

All sports are available in the immediate area, golf, fishing, tennis, bowls, horseriding, adventure sports, walks, hikes day drives, to Cathedral Peak, Injusuti, Giants Castle, Amphitheatre and near by Monks Cowl. San paintings in the area and at Cathedral Peak and Giants Castle.

Cathkin Cottage - Bed and Breakfast

Cathkin Cottage is situated in the heart of the Drakensberg Mountains, Ukhahlamba World Heritage Site, in the shadow of the mighty Champagne Castle and Cathkin Peak. Enjoy peace and tranquility in homely accommodation with warm hospitality, where personal attention ensures a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Tastefully decorated en-suite double and twin rooms with private entrances from the lovely garden, are fully equipped with towels, personal soaps, tea and coffee facilities, fridges, and are serviced daily. Heaters / fans are provided in each room and some TV's are available if requested when booking. Rooms are serviced daily.

Your tastefully decorated, spacious, self-catering cottage is set in beautiful gardens; some cottages have lovely views of the mountains.

The units have fireplaces and braai facilities, and are supplied with TV, video and hi-fi equipment, spa baths and microwave ovens.

You and your family can make use of the hot and cold pools, a tennis court and childrens' playground, and there are excellent opportunities for hiking, riding, fishing and golf nearby.

Clivia Hill - Self Catering

In Champagne Valley , in the Central Drakensberg region of KwaZulu Natal, you find Clivia Hill self-catering cottage. It is beautifully set in the Drakensberg foothills near Winterton and overlooks the Bell Park dam.

Clivia Hill is a newly built, semi-detached, double-storey thatched cottage situated on the shore of the Bell Park Dam with stunning views over the dam and the mountains.

Located in the heart of the beautiful Champagne Valley in the foothills of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site only two and a half hours from Durban and three and a half from Johannesburg, on a tar road.
Dragon Peaks is the ideal family getaway with a variety of accommodation to suit everyone and space to let you feel private when you choose to. This Resort is a 2nd generation family business, owned and managed by Rus & Lynn Tungay, founding family of the world famous Drakensberg Boys Choir School which is within walking distance of the Resort.

Monks Cowl - B&B

We are situated in the Central Drakensberg approximately four hours from Johannesberg and two and a half hours from Durban, in the magnificent Champagne Valley where Cathkin Peak and Champagne mountains can be viewed.

Situated on the golf course we have six spacious freestanding units. We offer a honeymoon suite with a wooden deck, four-poster bed, log fire and spa bath. Our other standard units sleep from two to six people. All units have a full bathroom downstairs. Tee and coffee facilities available.

We offer you complimentary golf and free use of our swimming pool and tennis courts, plus a la carte restaurant and pub facilities in a casual, homely environment.

The picturesque tree-lined course with kikuyu fairways and cynodon greens has six holes over water hazards which include a dams and a river with a small waterfall and swing bridge for those a little more adventurous
