Bergville Caravan Park and Chalets

The Bergville Caravan Park is situated on the foothills of the Drakensberg and on the banks of the Tugela River. Some of the most picturesque hiking trails at Cathkin Park, Cathedral Peak, Champagne Castle, Oliviershoek, Royal National Park Mount Aux Sources and various historical monuments are within a radius of 55 kilometres. The Park has fully equipped chalets and Park Homes as well as caravan and camping sites. There is a trampoline, a swimming pool, tennis courts and a bowling green. Devon Barton B&B

The Devon Barton B & B is located on a dairy farm approximately 5 km’s outside of Bergville. It is a two bedroomed, one bathroomed cottage with a small verandah. We are about 35 mins from both the Northern and Central Berg Resorts.

We boast an incredible view of the Drakensberg as well as some beautiful walks that one can do on the farm. It is a wonderful place for families to come and unwind and just enjoy the simple pleasures of life – of just being close to nature.

Because of its location it is also a super place to have as a base when exploring the berg. We are close to some brilliant restaurants in the area.

The Dragon's Cave

Drive through the magnificent foothills of the Northern Drakensberg. Take a stretch break halfway at the Dragon’s Cave Farmstall.

Drakensberg Inn

Easby Guest House

Situated in the tranquil surroundings of the Natal Midlands with a magnificent view of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains. Easby Guest Farm is in all respects a balm to the troubled soul. Easby House is more than a 100 years old, built before the Anglo Boer War. It was occupied by Gen. Louis Botha during that same war in 1900. Situated in the heart of the Drakensberg, it offers many scenic routes along which the avid historian can truly go back in time.

And if nature (rather than history) is your thing, Easby is the perfect place from which to explore the rest of the area. It is very centrally situated and is no more than half an hour’s drive from most of the splendours that the Drakensberg has to offer.

The house itself is built on a piece of land 300 acres in size and offers bird watching, nature trails, a pool, table tennis, volley ball, badminton, bar (with poll table & darts), and much much more. Horse riding can also be arranged.

Sandford Park

At the foothills of the uKhahlama – Drakensberg Mountains, World Heritage Site – a century old coach house nestles peacefully amid natural springs and streams. Dating back to 1850, Sandford Park, home for a British garrison sent to relieve the town of Ladysmith, causing the historical battle of Spioenkop, survived almost complete obliteration. Today, it has been restored to a place of complete relaxation and tranquility.

Between DBN and JHB, Sandford is in a perfect position, equidistant to the Royal National Park, Amphitheatre, Spioenkop Nature Reserve, Cathedral Peak and all major Battlefield sites.

The decor is reminiscent of an age gone by; tranquility nourishes the soul and enhances the memory of time visited.

The guest rooms all have en-suite bathrooms with upcountry cottage decor; all under thatch – being warm in winter and cool in summer.

The dining room has a very cozy atmosphere making it an all round experience, good food, good decor and quality music.

Tozer’s B & B is situated in the beautiful village of Bergville , set against the backdrop of the majestic uKhahlamba Drakensberg mountains (Recently announced as a World Heritage Site).

We are centrally situated for day trips to Northern & Central Drakensberg approximately 30 min from all the popular “Berg” attractions. The B&B is halfway between Durban and Johannesburg.
